  • More Space

Right before Christmas,  we hired a new person to help out in the office at the trucking company.  We now need to find some balance.  We went from 20 hours a week (me) to 60 hours a week (Angela and me).  We needed the extra help to get caught up, but it doesn't take 60 hours to make this office function, so her hours have now been cut back.  But, before that happened, and she was looking for things to do, one thing she did was declutter and rearrange, which was a good thing.

It needed it.  My little area was always clutter-free and organized, but I can't say the same about the rest of the office, and I couldn't justify working on that kind of stuff when there was mountains of truck business paperwork that needed to be checked and inputted into the computer.Something I had always wanted to do, but didn't want to push the issue, was to move this table we had out in the middle of the room.  Yes, it was a place for the drivers to pick up their supplies and such that they needed.  But, that little table would have worked just as well along one of the walls.

When Angela was doing her moving and organizing, I suggested that, and she tackled it and just did it.  Now we could have area rugs if we wanted to.  We actually have room to move around in the office, instead of having to walk around (the table).  I like it.  I don't know if the boss or David was impressed, but they didn't say much, and it really does make the office flow alot better.   More room, more open space.
